Jamestown’s big news; how Saddam changed the world; the early bird special; history of photographing Earth

So, I told you the big news out of Jamestown would involve four bodies. 🙂
Here’s the story, and it is kind of a big deal. I LOVE this forensic history stuff, and this is all the cooler because it’s from the awesome Jamestown site.

Here’s an NPR story and interview about this big news out of Virginia.

Wow, while we are discussing dead bodies, it seems that 97 of them have been found stuffed in a 5,000 year old house in China.

On the 25th anniversary of Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait, here’s a good piece on how that event has shaped our world for the last 25 years, and obviously not in a good way.

Now, on a less deadly note:

I know you food history buffs are dying to know the history of the “early bird special.” Well here ya go.

We’ve been getting some great pictures of the earth recently, so how about a history of pictures of the earth? Yes.
