Lots of bones being dug up; Pope & US history; Wilentz responds

Ok, here is some really good macabre for ya: researchers have dug up the remains of Nicholas and Alexandra and are “taking samples” for a new probe into their murders.

Meanwhile, researchers have found bone shards that they believe are from the woman that was the subject of Mona Lisa.

And then there is this: it seems that they have found the remains of pre-Roman inhabitants of Pompeii.

And getting away from all the corpses:

The Pope’s speech to Congress today was in and of itself historic, but in it he dealt a bit in US history—invoking our history of immigration, as well as MLK, and Lincoln.
